To spend time with as many people as possible, we have planned activities for the week before the wedding. Feel free to attend as many or as few as you would like, or to use this as a guide for your own adventures!
Monday, July 27th – Shaw Center for the Salish Sea, 9:30 am
The Shaw Center for the Salish Sea has been one our favourite date spots in any weather. During the pandemic, we got annual passes and frequently visited the regular and special exhibits!
Tuesday, July 28th – Beacon Hill Park Petting Zoo, 9:30 am
For years we’ve been meaning to visit, and this is the perfect excuse! Before joining us, consider visiting Bubby Rose’s Bakery & Cafe on Cook Street, or walking the Breakwater on Dallas Road!
Wednesday, July 29th – Cadboro Bay Picnic Dinner, 6:30 pm
Our relationship started in Cadboro Bay when we both lived in The Shack. We spent hours slacklining between the trees in the back field, playing and catch, sitting with takeout from Lemongrass Thai, and eventually getting engaged while watching the sunset. We’ll bring a barbeque and condiments, please bring your own meat to roast or other dinner to enjoy. If the visit goes late enough, we might even get to play in the phosphorescence!
Thursday, July 30th – BC Forestry Museum, 10 am
On Friday, August 29th, 2019 we started our three day long first date at the BC Forestry Museum. We rode the train, played on the playground, explored the old schoolhouse and trades buildings from the 1800s, and started our routine of visiting as many museums as we can wherever we go! The center welcomes your own lunch, and there is a beautiful field accessible by train and path.
